Getting the right word - CARD GAME
One of the children I teach regularly uses words in the wrong context, his sentence makes sense but isn´t fluent. For example he would say "The dog is shouting!" not "The dog is barking"- an English speaker would understand either phrase but only one is correct. This game is designed to help intermediate learners to widen their vocabulary, to use the appropriate word to make themselves sound more fluent rather than simply being understood. The second page has the answers on for students to either match, check their answers with or alternatively it could be stuck as the back side of the cards so you can flip them over to reveal the answer.
