Students work in small groups or in two teams. Each team has to find as many words as possible made from the root word. They then have to create correct sentences, using the words they found. The teams get points for each correct sentence. However, if a sentence is not correct, the other team can correct it and consequently snatch the point. My upper intermediate class loved it, I used words they frequently get wrong, i.e. bored vs boring, etc. Key included.
