Word it out - CARD GAME (instructions included)
This is a fun card game appropriate for every kind of students who like word-making games. You can say it is similar to the well-known Scrabble but it has different rules and extra twists.
It is fully editable and instructions are included at the end of the set.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Players draw 6 cards from a pile. They have to make a word with the given letters. If they make a word they shuffle already used letters again in the pile and they draw number of cards they have used in the round. Each player has got the opportunity to roll the dice in each round but it is not necessary (it is possible that the players will risk losing their points)
1 – draw 2 extra cards
2 – choose one card and change it to a new card
3 – add extra letter you need without drawing a card
4 – lose 1 card
5 – you get 1 point
6 – lose 4 points
Every letter has got certain numbers of points. When players make a word with the given letters, they count their points. The aim of the game is to get as many points at the end of the game. The player with the highest number of points is the winner.
I suggest you to print two or more copies of pages 1,2 and 4 in order to make more words with the “easy” letters.
Hope your students will enjoy it as much as mine :)
