Boring or bored?
I use these cards to drill often confused adjectives(e.g. embarrassed – embarrassing)in a funny way.
Make cards using the worksheet (pair of adjectives on one side and noun on the back)and put them in an envelope.
Divide the board into two sections (or, if possible, use two flipcharts). On one side, write –ed, on the other –ing. Ask Sts to stand up and go to the board. Hand out the envelope to a student.
The student draws a card, reads it and then stands against the section on the board representing the right adjective (e.g. an embarrassing situation).
The others are asked to position themselves where they think is right until the you give the answer.
The student who had drawn the slip of paper can now give the envelope to someone else.
