Adjectives, Adverbs, Comparatives, and Superlatives
This took many, many hours to make and I hope my fellow teachers get some use from it.
I made this worksheet for my 4th and 5th grade EFL students who are preparing for a big test. They were still a little confused about adjectives and adverbs, and when and how to use them. I made the worksheet to remind them of what they have learnt, and to give them even more practical experience applying what we have been discussing for the last few weeks.
The worksheet is in four parts:
• Part one is only about adjectives. What they are, how to spot them, and some exercises.
• Part two is only about adverbs. What they are, how to spot them, and some exercises.
• Part three is about adjectives and adverbs, and when and how to use them or choose between them. Plus exercises.
• Part four is about comparative and superlative adjectives. Plus exercises.
The last page contains mixed examples where students have to decide between using an adjective, an adverb, a comparative adjective, or a superlative adjective.
All in all there are 7 A4 pages here. I tried to combine the most important points to note (for review purposes) with some practical examples and also exercises.
I hope a few of you are able to download it. It will truly make my day!
Also, if enough of you out there download it, and the demand is there, I promise to make a full answer sheet to go along with the worksheet.
Thanks, good night, and a great week ahead to you all :)
Paul
