The Power Of Names - Articles (A/An/The/Zero) - Names and Brands
A worksheet on branding which looks at articles and the grammar rules for using them, as well as some idioms with ŽnameŽ. Students put the 15 words at the top back into the text, then match each of these with one of fifteen rules for using either A/An, The or the Zero article. Leads to much discussion about brands and their influence on people, advertising, cultural imperialism, security, logos and slogans, global cities, changing brand names and logos, the financial impact of branding, and the impact on younger people.
