Gettink to know each other
A simple but fun way to get your students talking about their lives, likes, dreams, etc. I used this activity both with teenagers and adults as an ice-braker at the beginning of term but it could also be used at any time. Students work in pairs, it works better if these are students who have known each other for some time. They guess info about their partners who will later rate the answer and give 0 points if it is not even close, 1 if the answer is close to the real one or 2 if they nailed it. The important speaking part is when students have to give a feedback on the score they are giving their partners. My students got really engaged and had fun. Plus, they got to know each other a little bit better or they realised how much they already knew each other. It also has a writing activity as follow up. I hope it is useful!!
