Conjunctions Oral Practice
Cut up conjunction cards and sentences. Put students into small groups. Give each group a set of sentences and cards.
RULES OF GAME: Put conjunction cards and sentences in separate piles face down in the middle of table. Student takes a sentence, then takes a conjunction card and should try to make a sentence using the conjunction in front of or after the sentence. If the group agrees with the sentence, the student keeps that conjunction card and takes another one, again trying to make a sentence with the conjunction on the card at the beginning or end of the sentence they have. Once they can make no more sentences it goes to the next person who picks up a new sentence. The student with the most conjunction cards at the end is the winner.
