help with some rephrasing sentences   
 
Hi everyone, It�s me Pedro with my umpteenth account on this website. I relate to other users who get no reply from admins when encountering a problem. Anyways, I wonder if anyone could help me out wth these word transformation sentences. I had my ID here. After some time when I tried to login system showed me that my ID does not exist. But as I see my worksheets fro my lost ID are here and people can download it. I wrote many e-mails but no answer at all. What�s wrong with admins? they moderate content of this website but cannot restore ID?

Moderators are site users that have had enough downloads that they qualify to moderate content-- they are not aadmins. A while back our great admin and creator of the site, Victor, apparently sold the site to someopne else and now admin is almost non-existent.  I has been very hard on many of us to see the site faltering in this way.

why -Metal is expanded when heated- is wrong? And why -Inflation was increased over the last six months.- is wrong?   
 
In the following pairs of sentences, a, b or both are correct. Put a cross (X) next to every sentence that is incorrect. Write the correction. 

Example: 
a) Drop a line when you get there. 
b) He was upset to discover he dropped from the team. (X) (had been/ was dropped) 


 1- a Inflation was increased over the last six months. X (has increased) 
b My salary was increased by just over 5 percent. (correct) 

 2- a They have expanded production facilities at the Old factory. (correct)
 b Metal is expanded when heated. X (expands) 

 * I understand -Metal expands when heated- is correct because it is an ergative verb. But why -Metal is expanded when heated- is wrong? 

 * I also understand -Inflation has increased by just over 50 percent- is right. But why -Inflation was increased over the last six months.- is wrong? Thanks in advance!
