Have you got an aliby?
A good game to start the lesson on past continuous review. The detective should find the thief through mingling with the witnesses and analysing their evidence. The witnesses prove each other´s evidence but noone can prove the thief´s. The number of witnesses can vary from 6 to 14. In weak groups the teacher can give the thief any aliby, in strong groups the thief can be instructed to act on his own, listening to what people say and conceal the absense of his aliby.
