Class Rules
I developed this to help students make up rules for their classroom. It is meant to be used as a group activity. Firstly demonstrate to the students the difference between class rules and irrelevant rules (or silly rules). Then, in groups, ask the students to choose 10 rules they want for their classroom. Survey the groups as to their results and you will find that most groups will come up with a list of reasonable rules for their classroom and the students feel as if they have made a contribution to choosing the rules.
