Cause and Effect: Adjective Modifiers: so~that; too~to while learning about Egypt
I teach Japanese, so to make "another boring worksheet" fun, I created a topic: Egypt. The students help someone take notes. For words that they´ve never learned such as Egypt and Pharoh, I wrote the word in both English and Japanese so that they had a word bank.
The grammar point:
Cause and Effect Clause:
Adjective/Adverb Modifiers
so~that; to~too
Cause and Effect:
“Because A happened, B also happened.”
When the word so is put with a clause that starts with that, it makes a cause-effect relationship:
~The toy was so old that it broke when I touched it.
When the word too is put with a clause that starts with that, it makes a cause-effect relationship:
~The toy was too old to use.
