plurals + nouns ending -o (2/5)
Children have to write the plural form of the given nouns. Editable. Many commonly used nouns ending in -o are spelt -oes in the plural (echoes, heroes, potatoes, tomatoes).
The following have plurals spelt with -os:
-nouns ending in a vowel + -o or -oo : bamboos, kangaroos, radios, studios, videos, zoos.
-abreviations: kilos, photos.
- Italian music terms: concertos, pianos, solos, sopranos.
- proper nouns: Eskimos, Filipinos.
Some nouns can be spelt with -oes or -os:
buffalo, cargo, mosquito, tornado, volcano, cargo, grotto.
