Grammar Auction Game
The game is easy. Give some paper money to your students. Then explain the rules of the grammar auction. The students can bid money for a sentence ONLY if they are sure it is correct. If the sentence is really correct, the teacher will double their money. For example, if one student bids 2$ and the sentence is correct, he/she will receive 4$. On the other hand, if the sentence has a mistake, he/she will lose the 2$. I usually give a dollar to the student who can find the mistake. Afterwards, we discuss the mistake.
This game is perfect if you want to review the use of Past Simple and Continuous, neither/none/either, few/little, some/any/no+ compounds, will/be going to, adverbs, much/many/a lot.
On the second page you will find the answers.
