Parts of Speech "Runners" Game worksheet

I use this as a simple reinforcement activity when students are learning to distinguish the various parts of speech. It´s fun and gets them up and moving, and engaged with the language. Cut the page into strips along the lines shown and place, jumbled together, print side down on a table. Create columns on the board, with a title for each part of speech. Students take turns running up, drawing a slip, and thinking of an example word to write in the appropriate column. If a student has trouble, others in the class can help. For extremely elementary ability levels, you may need to remove some of the slips.
