Parts of Speech "Runners" Game
I use this as a simple reinforcement activity when students are learning to distinguish the various parts of speech. Itīs fun and gets them up and moving, and engaged with the language.
Cut the page into strips along the lines shown and place, jumbled together, print side down on a table. Create columns on the board, with a title for each part of speech. Students take turns running up, drawing a slip, and thinking of an example word to write in the appropriate column. If a student has trouble, others in the class can help. For extremely elementary ability levels, you may need to remove some of the slips.
