Here are some useful cards for helping your students practise the difference between short and long vowels. You can use these cards in either of two ways... the first is to cut them up and Ss play paper, scissors, stone to decide who takes the card. The S who wins then takes the card and has to read the word correctly. Or, if you donīt have time to cut them up into cards,Ss can throw a counter onto the sheet, and they have to read the word which their counter landed on. I hope this helps with your studentsī reading! Mine really enjoyed it! Iīm also sending a bingo card today, which matches this game!XX
