Give out one sheet to each student or to pairs of students. Each students needs a pen and paper. You must read out a telephone number to the students using the minimal pairs on the worksheet. Students listen carefully and write down the number they think you are reading out. Language students find similar phonemes very difficult to differentiate and this activity helps their listening and confidence. Itīs a fun activity that the students really get into. Good luck!
