Phonetic Symbols
through a communicative approach I am driving beginners to understand that what we write is totally different from What we hear. The main purpose is not to make pupils memorize phonetic symbols but :
First to make them understand that English is different from their mother tongues and the second language they have been learning ( In our country , Tunisia, our mother tongue is Arabic and our second language is French )
Second, enabling pupils to pronounce correctly.
Third, enabling them to use a dictionary properly
