Pronunciation Poem with vowels
4 pages- poem contains MANY common and tricky words in a rhyme. ANSWER KEY and Teacherīs Notes to further explain activities and pronunciation included. American and IPA symbols are listed for students to categorize words. Common words for each symbol are listed for additional help. As students categorize, spelling patterns for each sound and other rhyming words can be brainstormed for further practice, so some sense can be made of our rather difficult pronunciation system:-) Afterwards, the most popular words can be used again in a word sort using mini-flashcards and student groups can re-categorize. Lots of pronunciation practice opportunities!!
