How to teach grammar (argh!) to the bored ones – verb to be (present), personal pronouns, possessive adjectives [2 games] FULL DIRECTIONS – CARDS INCLUDED ((2 pages)) ***editable
I suggest 2 games for beginners to get used to personal pronouns, verb to be, yes/no questions, sentence formation, short answers, verb to be in the present, possessive adjectives. I already used both more than once with good results, the first is also useful for students to know each other and the other students’ names, also useful for the teacher at the beginning of the semester. I included 12 cards for the first game, so students will also practice school objects vocabulary, but you can change the pictures and insert any other pictures related to the vocabulary topic you want to practice during this game. The pictures are grouped, you just need to ungroup and change them. If you want to print larger pictures just ungroup them and drag to another page (or a blank document) and resize them using the mouse. Be sure the students understand the rules before starting the game, write them on the board or train with the labels before starting the second game if you find it necessary. If the students have difficulties memorizing the pronouns you can use them any time you ask questions or make requests until they get used to the topic. The worksheet is completely editable (also correctable). Hope it’s useful. Thanks for downloading and have a nice day!
