Students use a die and tokens to move around the board. (See Part 2 for tokens and game cards.) Every time they land on a picture they must name it, spell it and or use it in a sentence or complete a sentence from a game card. Students may go around the board only once or go around and around until they have had a chance to name all the items on the board or use up all the game cards.

Play will last a little longer if you use the wheels as spaces to land on. You may also choose to have a person miss a turn when they land on a steering wheel. To extend this topic you may use my clue cards which I will add below. Write clues on each one for a treasure hunt or add some vocabulary or grammar questions. Talk about famous pirates. Make a treasure map. Hide something fun in your classroom. Two teams can make two different treasure hunts and then they can trade clues and treasure maps....For fun you can also buy some of those chocolate coins that are wrapped in gold foil. (Don’t forget to get a copy of Part 2 of the game which has the game tokens and game cards. Here it is :http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=301306#thetop
