This / That with questions. Beginner level.
(1) Teacher and Ss read page 1 to practice Is that / Is this / Yes it is / No it is not. (2) Ss note the use of "a" versus "an" / that we do not use a/an with names. (3) Students play an "a/an" game in teams or as individuals, like this: Each Ss/team gets a secret sheet [page3] and a set of 8 cards [page 2]. They ask the Ss/team next to them (a) "Is that a/an (fruit name)"? (b) "Is that (character name)?. After the other Ss/team answers, it asks the same 2 questions in return. A "Yes it is" answer = 1 point and a "No it is not" answer = 0 points. Play continues until all teams/Ss have asked and answered once. All Ss/teams then change their secret cards, and round two begins. Repeat that a few times. __________________ A4 colour, editable, please enjoy and comment.
