Candy Contractions Game with 2 page board, cards and list of common contractions
Instructions:
This is my Candy Contractions boardgame. The game has 4 pages in all consisting of the gameboard , some small cards and a list of common contractions in English.
Print out pages 1-4. The gameboard will require some assembly. Then cut out the cards on page 3.
You will need a die and tokens to play this game. Students roll a die and choose a card at random from a stack or an opaque bag. They must read their card aloud and then form the correct contractions from the word/words they see on their card. You may also choose to have them use the contraction in a sentence. Only correct answers give them the chance to move forward. The winner lands on number 82 and then “jumps” down to the finish line, like a gumball rolling out of a gumball machine.
Have fun!
If you have any questions about this game please let me know. I drew the game in Word.
