Perfect Verb Tense Review: Sentence Snippets
Preparation: Print and cut the sentences into snippets. It´s best to print it out twice on differently colored paper, and then mix the first parts of one color with the second parts (of the sentences) in the other color, so that the Ss can sort them out a little. I divided the class into groups of 4-5 and handed out envelopes with the snippets.
Best used for perfect verb tense review. To check the learning, I had some Ss come to the blackboard and stick an example sentence onto a timeline with a magnet, so which action happened when in regard to "now" and in regard to the other clause of the sentence.
Extra information: Some of the sentences also contain a few sentences about the play we were reading during that time, Shaw´s Pygmalion. But the sentences should be fine for Ss who did not read it, as well.
