My Future My Future

Page 2 of the My Future lesson. Students use the vocabulary from page 1 (or their own) and write their five future possibilities in the appropriate category. They choose a "magic number" (6-11), then count this number clockwise from the start point eliminating the possibility they land on and continue counting as they go around the wheel, skipping eliminated possiblities until only one possibility remains for each category. Then the student writes his future prediction in the box at the bottom left (e.g., "I will be a doctor."). Created for high schoolers. Other categories can be substituted (spouse instead of wife). Boys enjoy this lesson and only the sleepiest students don´t participate. An effective and excellent lesson!
