Participle Phrases (-ing and -ed participles used as adjectives, both by themselves and in phrases). 1 Page + Answer Key.
This worksheet covers the use of a) participles by themselves and b) participle phrases as adjectives with the focus being on when they are used in the middle of sentences. First students read a brief guide. Next, they choose the correct participle (present or past participle). After that, they underline the participle phrase and match to the pictures. Then, they choose the verb, change it into its correct participle form and write it in the correct place within the sentence and match to the pictures. Last they reorder the sentences.
