Present Perfect Bingo
a very fun and easy activity for introducing how to form the past particple (kokbunji). I use it with Japanese junior High 3rd graders.
1) read the title and ask/explain what it means in Japanese
2) ask them to change the words at the bottom to PP/kakobunji (5-8 mins)
3) while they are doing this, write all of the words on the board in their basic form
4) after the 8 mins is up, check all of the words as a class together, (change them on the board using different colour chalk)
5) repeat new forms
6)Ask them to write the PP forms anywhere in the boxes (the doraemon is a free square)
7) read sentences using the new words and have the students mark off thier sheets accordingly. eg, "Kyoto is VISITED by many tourists".
*I usually play two line bingo to win! itīs too easy with just one line...
** you could also change the vocab at the bottom to suit your class
