Super Mario Battleship Game - Do you...Verb...Time (Simple Present Tense)
Photocopy one page for each student and put double-sided tape on the back of the characters. Students can also glue the characters, but that might take more time in class to prepare the game. Students tape the characters anywhere on the board, including on the pipe, ground, or bricks. Make sure students keep their board a secret. Next, students make pairs and try to find their partnerīs characters by asking questions depending on where they want to look. They need to start the sentence by asking "Do you...," then the verb, and then the time. If their partner has a character on the corresponding space, they say "yes" and the partner marks the answer in the answer grid at the bottom. The first person to find all of their partnerīs characters wins the game. I make Super Mario stickers for the winners.
