Verb Tenses Game
Aim: Intermediate students have to build sentences using the verb tenses that appear on the spinner.
Material: The verb tenses spinner + a dice + a piece of paper to take notes.
Number of Players: Even numbers are better to play, but it can be used in a private class.
Dice chart:
1 and 4 = Affirmative
2 and 5 = Negative
3 and 6 = Question
Procedure: Print out the spinner 1(Verb Tenses) and spinner 2 (Mickey Mouse). Cut out the patterns and glue them together. Glue the spinner circle onto a piece of cardboard or box. Place a small bead in the middle of the spinner circle, then place the Mickey Mouse spinner over the bead matching up the center dot with the bead. Insert a straight pin that has a big head into the Verb Tenses spinner and through the bead. Bend the pin on the bottom so that it doesn΄t come out.Before the game begins the teacher establishes the number of points that each group or student has to reach to win the game. Students get 1 point for each correct sentence or question.
