CHATTING ON THE INTERNET - symbols (smiley, acronyms...)- The netiquette
A nice activity before a holiday or between 2 lessons.
When they chat on the internet, pupils use different symbols to express a feeling or to write faster (smileys, acronyms, ascii art). I created 3 activities to introduce these symbols.
First they have to compare the English and the French acronyms (maybe you have some acronyms in your own language). Then, they match one symbol with its English meaning. Finally, they have to say which feeling is represented by each Ascii smiley.
The answers are on page 2.
I hope you and your pupils will enjoy it.
