This is a powerpoint to show an overview of verb tenses (simple vs. verbs with auxiliaries; simple, continuous, perfect tenses, perfect continuous tenses and their time expressions). The idea is to show students that verbs are like people: they have a name (in this case the auxiliary which is flexible) and a surname (in this case, the main verb which has a fixed form and carries the meaning).
