Jeopardy (categories The Alphabet, Numbers, Plural v Sing., BE, & Adjectives)
Each question/challenge targets a specific skill- pronunciation, spelling, writing, reading, etc.. within that category. In my personal powerpoint, I included a miscellaneous Halloween category and the kids LOVED it.
Not each category is a question either- it includes small quick games of hangman, a timed game to list irregular plurals, etc.. Doing this keeps the energy up really well.
By giving the option to others to steal points, it adds a useful competitive edge to the game (it worked well even with my 6 year olds) When there is a disparity of points between players, this might encourage them to be a bit more bold and try harder questions. Ultimately, this instills a sense of confidence and pride when/if they get a correct answer. I hope you enjoy. Feel free to adapt as needed but let me know what you think please =)
