This is a powerpoint file I use for my descriptions mania game (in a game show style). I break the class up into groups of four or more students and have one of them as the scribe. The team must work together to describe the person in the picture I put up on the screen. They have to use full sentences like; "she has, he is, they are, they have, she is wearing..."
I have also created a description for each person using the vocabulary I have taught them. For each sentence that matches my description the team gets one point. They can also gain bonus points for creative sentences that I have not seen or thought about.
They really enjoy that part of the game and become very creative. In some of my top classes I have them arguing for their points.
The team at the end of each round with the most points wins... I usually give them stickers but whatever reward system you use would work.
