British and American basic facts
This ppt was used for a contest in a beginerīs level. It is composed of a group of questions of multiple answer, each one followed by a slide with its correct answer and images (the one about Christopher Columbus has two different pictures because the last date on the question is the year the Mayflower - on the picture - arrived in the United States). Towards the end thereīs a slide about England that should be part of the first ones, so you can pull it up next to the others concerning British culture. I managed to divide my small classes in three groups of 3 / 4 students, so each group could answer at least 4 questions. This is just an idea. You can add more questions according to the number of students / groups in your class. Furthermore, if theres a draw, you schould be prepared with extra questions (fortunately I had a winning team in each class). The prize was a certificate - THE BEST GROUP! Have fun!!
