Verbs
This is a good ppt for teaching verbs and I can or I canīt communicative phrase. The teacher will first teach the verbs-fly, jump, etc. then teach I can and I can;t concept. show the students the ppt. Ask them do identify the animals. Itīs a monkey, they can climb tress. Then let the students repeat the key sentence after the teacher. teach all the other concepts.
Additional stuff to do
Play the whisper game (print out flashcards and divide the class in two teams. Whisper a sentence in the first studentīs ear of each time. They must shisper the sentence to the next person. the last person must run to the front and say the sentence out load.
Guessing game
Guess what picture the teacher holds in her hand. students must use the expressions we learned to guess what sentence it is.
