The Shoemaker and the Elves
There are many wonderful lessons to be learned from The Shoemaker and the Elves, but my favorite is kindness. The elves made the shoes for the shoemaker with out of kindness. This exercise brings that home for the students. We put each students name in a hat and have each student choose a name and to decorate/color the worksheet as a gift for that student. I also encourage the students to continue practicing kindness towards their classmates.
