Simple Present Interrogative with Want: Do or Does & Answers. Powerpoint Game with 17 slides.
It´s a powerpoint that combines grammar (auxillary verbs do & does in simple present interrogative) with a memory game to motivate students. Explain to students how the Venn diagram on slide 2 works and give them about a minute to try and remember what the boy, the girl, and both of them want before starting the game proper. For each of the other slides, students first have to choose gDoh or gDoesh to complete the question.
Once they have done this successfully, they have to try and remember if the answer to the question was gYesh or gNoh according to the Venn diagram. The reason I have only written gYesh and gNoh in the answer boxes is because I want students to practice the agreement of question and answers, so I am going to get them to write the full answer e.g. gYes, she does.h etc. on paper in 2 teams and they will get bonus points for a perfect answer. Hope some of you and your students will find it fun, too. Have a great Wednesday. Hugs to all.
