The Consumer Society
This presentation was used to introduce the unit "The Consumer Society". It´s purpose is to elicit students to talk about the subject, thus reflecting about the connection between advertising/ publicity and the world of consumerism/ consumer society we live in.
You will see I included 3 video clips and, of course, you need them, in order to successfully use this presentation. Therefore, the clips are the following (you can easily access them through youtube or you can just ask me for them):
- Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson;
- Toyota (with the slogan "The Humam Touch") -> students really loved this one;
- the official trailer of the film "Confessions of a Shopaholic".
If you have any problems finding these, do ask me for them!
