USA Fourth of July Menu
Independence Day, usually simply referred to as “the Fourth of July”, is a major holiday in the USA. It is celebrated across the country with picnics in back yards and parks and with fireworks after dark. This PPT depicts the most traditional of the foods served at such picnics and includes additional information in the notes section of most slides. The slides are designed so the pictures of the food appear first without their names to give teachers a chance to elicit from the students those items the students already know and to foster discussion, such as what they think the ingredients might be, what are similar foods in their culture, etc.
