Hello & Good-bye
This is a simple presentation to review some different ways to say "Hello" and "Good-bye".
I demonstrate the vocabulary by greeting the character, sometimes in a fun way. I pretend he responds, and the kids really enjoy that. Next, itīs the studentsī turn to greet him. After weīve run through then we practice in our seats with a partner, using one pair of greetings at a time, then then next, and so on.
Afterward, partners come to the front of the room and enact a scene of constant greetings, walking toward and away from each other, waving, etc. The physical part makes it fun and exciting for them. They think itīs a silly game to play, but they end up practicing many greeting forms.
