Similar comparative sentence game
A clever, fun, classroom, team game.
Game instructions:
~ Review the "similar sentences" on slides 2-5.
Detailed instructions:
~ Divide the class into 2 teams, A and B or X and O.
~ They will take turns choosing lettered boxes.
~ Each box contains a colour-coded sentence.
~ Bomb - means "miss your turn" or "nothing"
~ The "white" boxes are "editable text boxes" - you can type into them while in slideshow mode! good for keeping score!
~ Once a team has chosen a box and revealed the sentence (and practiced it) you should use the "white" box to record the name of the team who chose it.
~ Once all the sentences have been revealed, with the team who found it recorded in the "editable text box," find out which team has won.
~ The winner is the team with "the most similar sentences"
There are 4 groups of similar sentences, each with itīs own colour.
Obviously there are more pink than any other.
Itīs essentially a "drilling" game, the kids donīt mind repeating the sentences, because they are in anticipation of who will find the most similar sentences!
The sentences I chose to compare were from a my studentīs book, you might want to change the one slide.
