This is an introduction to the Wizard of Oz, giving some general information about the book, the author, the movie and some of the basic concepts of the book (the Kansas Cyclone, Kansas prairie, memorable quotes from the movie, etc.). I used this presentation before I started teaching the first chapter of the book.
