a brief account, with an example, of how we use the past simple and past continuous to re-count an event in the past (it may be wise to re-cap over the grammar of each tense) - ss are then shown a picture of four strange car accidents and told to write an insurance claim, using the tenses, for one or each accident (up to you!) - you may also need to elicit "insurance claim"
