India at a glance; The Land of Diversity
Hi guys, This ones on the mystical country of India. Some facts and some myths revealed. Its an update of a ppt i had uploaded a few days back which had included some pictures and titles to kick start a discussion. However after feedback/suggestions from my dear fellow members (Thanks Silvia, MJ Misa), I updated the ppt. with more tasks, and information, apart from the pictures and titles. And it looks really great!! The ppt now contains lots of pictures and information about India, and some follow up questions for almost every slide. Topics include, some famous monuments, indian film industry, indian food, clothes etc.
As a lead in you could ask your sts to come up with a few asian countries they would like to visit and why. Alternatively, to make it more specific you can ask them to share any facts they know about India.
As a pre-discussion, you can equip sts with vocabulary that you think can be difficult for them.
For post-discussion, you can ask them to look up 3 more facts about India (for homework, if you dont have classroom internet.) Hope you have a great class! Happy teaching!
