English powerpoint: Romeo & Juliet Pre-Reading Survey Romeo & Juliet Pre-Reading Survey

I use this PowerPoint to get my English 9 students interested in the idea of reading Romeo and Juliet. Each slide features a controversial question or statement that reflects themes in the play, such as: "You should choose your boyfriend or girlfriend over your family." After I put up each slide, I give students 2 minutes to write their responses on a piece of paper. We then have a group discussion about their opinions. I do this for each slide. The kids love this activity, and it takes up at least a 53 minute period. Enjoy!
