I use this PowerPoint to give my English 11 students background information on American Gothicism (both architecture and literature). I also give information on Edgar Allan Poe, who was the author of focus for this 3 week unit. Itīs great to do after American Romanticism, as Gothicism is the latter part of that movement. Enjoy!
