Passive voice game - who writes first
I used this as a game. Students were in pairs and had to write the complete sentence in one shared piece of paper. When they were ready, they had to raise the sheet of paper (not their hands!) to indicate the pair who wrote first. Then, I checked the sentence and they would score up to two points (one for each part they got right). If both verbs in the sentence were wrong, or if they missed any words, they would lose one point as a punishment for being so hasty.
It certainly got teenagers engaged!
