Throw the dice
Simply ask the child to click the mouse to ´roll the dice´ / click again to see the number.
This powerpoint can be used for any game requiring numbers.
Example game: NUMBER HUNT - make sure you have accessible manipulative materials around the classroom (eg. counters, puzzles, pattern block etc.)
Child clicks on the dice, it rolls, and then the child counts out the dots and then clicks again to see the number appear.
Child then goes to find any collection of objects which correspond with the number rolled!
NB if you have a large group of students you may want to write down the number rolled and place it in a carry basket (just so you can remember which number was rolled!)
You can adapt the game no only to collections but to find the hiden number card.
