Listening and Retelling
This is an activity to train both listening and speaking skills.
This Presentation contains tasks for 7 jokes. At first children listen to a joke (teacher can either read it or play the podcast which can be found at www.manythings.org/jokes). Then the text of this joke is shown on the screen with some gaps. Children are to fill them in. They do it word by word, and after they pronounce their variant the correct word appears in the gap. After the task is fullfilled, the text disappears and only the words from the gaps are left on the screen. Now children are to retell the jokes with proper intonation using the key words on the screen.
