Book Worms
This is an introduction to a highly desmotivated classroom, without participative level. The first slide shows a gigantic TRY which leads to a Youtube video where Spanish football players try to repeat four words in English; it is funny and also encourages students to try to speak English, just like their idols (also they can realize that their level of English is not so bad compared to the players in the video). Afterwards, there is a match game related to first famous sentences in literature, again with an introductory video for them to get the point of how important the first lines of a book are. The game is simple, half of the class gets the titles and the other half gets the first sentences, they have to look for the correct pair, and then sit together for the rest of the class (see the printable: "famous first lines in literature").
